About

The plugin allows process execution planning using a single board. On the board execution groups assigned to execution areas and over these shifts are distributed processes.

board

Setup

You can see the plugin operation in Demo System.

Process Type

In involved process types has to be configured a parameter with type address, its city are used for building the board’s columns. Another parameter can have any type, when its set, the plugin bind the process to a board.

On the screen below you can see address parameter 52 and the list ones 86, used in the Demo configuration also for process' duration calculation. Both parameters there are used in Process Generated Title.

setup process type

For more flexible adding process to a board’s column, use Default Process Change Listener, setting binding parameter value. Here is the example for Demo configuration, binding a process to a board when its status changed to Progress.

# when status changing to 'Progress' (2)
onProcessEvent.{@inc:cnt}.events=statusChanging:2
# set column value 1 into parameter 86, here might be more sophisticated logic as well
onProcessEvent.{@cnt}.doExpression=pp.e().sval(86, "1")

Board

Make sure the plugin is enabled and append to the configuration:

grpl:board.<ID>.title=<TITLE>
grpl:board.<ID>.on.changed.param=<BIND_BOARD_PARAM>
grpl:board.<ID>.column.param=<COLUMN_PARAM>
grpl:board.<ID>.column.cities=<COLUMN_CITIES>
grpl:board.<ID>.groups=<GROUPS>
grpl:board.<ID>.process.duration.expression=<DURATION_EXPRESSION>
# optional
grpl:board.<ID>.process.types=<PROCESS_TYPES>
grpl:board.<ID>.shift.from=<FROM_TIME>
grpl:board.<ID>.shift.to=<TO_TIME>
grpl:board.<ID>.column.<COLUMN_ID>.title=<COLUMN_TITLE>
grpl:board.<ID>.process.background.color.<STATUS_ID>=<HEX_COLOR>

Where:

  • <ID> - unique numeric board ID, must not be modified later

  • <TITLE> - board title

  • <BIND_BOARD_PARAM> - board-binging parameter ID

  • <COLUMN_PARAM> - parameter ID, used for process to column mapping

  • <COLUMN_CITIES> - comma-separated city IDs, taken from the address parameter <COLUMN_PARAM> and used as board columns

  • <GROUPS> - comma-separated user group IDs which can be assigned for board processes execution

  • <FROM_TIME> - included time of shift’s beginning, HH:mm format; default is 09:00

  • <TO_TIME> - excluded time of shift’s end, HH:mm format; default is 18:00

  • <PROCESS_TYPES> - comma-separated process type IDs, restricted for the board

  • <COLUMN_ID> and <COLUMN_TITLE> pair - change a column title, taken by default from city

  • <STATUS_ID> and <HEX_COLOR> pair - board cell background color, depends on the process status

<DURATION_EXPRESSION> contains JEXL expression for evaluating of process duration

Here is an example of a configuration in the Demo.

Usage

A process has been assigned for a board on change the binding parameter there. Column defining parameter has to be filled as well.

process set work type

At first time a process appears in the bottom QUEUE cells, showing processes without time assigned.

process board queue

For a board are shown only group- or process-containing columns.

process board queue 2

For the table cells have to be assigned accountable execution groups with mouse click on them.

process board group set

That creates a shift plan for execution groups.

process board group set after

After each of the queued processes have to be arranged with customer, for that their descriptions are shown in popups on mouse hover. Using configurable process descriptions these texts can contain phone numbers or even direct HTTP links for running calls.

process description popup

After or even during customer conversations a process can be mouse-dragged to a suitable slot, filled with a dark background when the process is over it.

To start dragging click in a process rectangle outside opening link, when hand mouse cursor appears.
process drag

When the process has been dropped to such a slot, exact time should be confirmed in the appearing dialog.

process drop

If instead of dragging just click on a process when hand cursor has appeared, the following popup menu allows to delete assigned to the process time, back to queue, or remove the process from the board completely.
